Imagine a beautiful tree lined level campus with a gorgeous theater, good sized classrooms, comfy dorms (bring your own bedding, pillows and towels, and maybe a fan since dorm rooms are not air conditioned, but the lobby and all the classrooms and auditorium are), scrumptious eco-friendly food including vegan and vegetarian options, PUPPETS and puppeteers from all over.
Western Oregon University's picturesque campus is located in Monmouth, 20 minutes from the state capital Salem in the heart of the Willamette Valley’s wine country. Less than 2 hours drive from Portland, Eugene and the Pacific Coast. Spend four days immersed in puppet related activities including performances, workshops, and exhibits.
Vans available to charter from Portland and Eugene airports. SW Airlines flies LA to Eugene.
Amtrak Train Portland to Salem runs about $15. Cherriots bus runs from the Salem Amtrak to the WOU campus (weekdays only). Free on-campus parking for attendees driving their car to the Festival.
