Check-In from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14
where we met lots of kindred spirits - both new and long-time friends, both humans and puppets 
After dinner, we were inspired by the Opening Ceremony's keynote speech by Marsha and Randel McGee who set the mood and spirit of the festival as they encouraged us to open our minds and hearts to all the hopes and opportunities and joy in our future with the puppetry arts.

During Check-In, we enjoyed a dazzling display and demonstration of amazing puppets by Dmitri Carter from the Northwest Puppet Center.

Afternoon and Evening Performances and Presentations
were open to the public, free of charge,
from Wednesday through Friday evening.

Thistle Theater presented Winnie the Pooh
At the end of every show the audience was invited onstage to see the puppets up close.

Jason Ropp's Dragon Theater presented a rollicking adventure with lots of audience participation.

Randel McGee & Groark presented
"You Can Learn a Lot from a Bug."

Oregon Shadow Theatre presented "Jack and the Dragon" in the outdoor amphitheater at Main Street Park just a few blocks south of the Western Oregon University campus. This performance was funded by the City of Monmouth.

Parade on Saturday Morning
Saturday morning, festival attendees lined up for a parade -- starting from the north end of the campus,
ending at Main Street Park where everyone gathered in the Amphitheater to celebrate the successful festival,
to award certificates for outstanding events and actions, to draw the winning tickets for Raffle prizes,
and to say good-bye to our puppeteer friends until next summer.
